Technical Sales Engineer – High Tech Systems

Lambert Instruments is a small high tech organization with less than 15 employees with worldwide sales of custom-developed specialist camera systems. Since 2021 we are part of the Tibidabo Scientific Industries group.

To reinforce our sales team we are looking for an (experienced) Technical Sales Engineer – High Tech Systems

As a Sales Engineer at Lambert Instruments you are responsible for generating revenue by selling our high-tech camera systems to customers in the academic and industrial sectors. You combine technical expertise with commercial skills to advise customers on the best solutions for their needs.

What does the job involve?

  • Being responsible for order intake and achieving sales targets
  • Follow up leads and prepare quotations
  • Identifying and approaching customers in the life science industry, such as universities, research institutions, biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Follow up leads and prepare quotations
  • Demonstrating Lambert Instruments products to customers and at trade fairs.
  • Advising customers about the possibilities and applications of Lambert Instruments products and services.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners, including identifying potential new customers and opportunities for growth.
  • Preparing presentations, whitepapers and marketing documentation to support sales.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, production and R&D to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Populate and utilize appropriate Lambert CRM systems

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a sales professional who understands (camera) technology and experienced in B2B sales.

You are customer-friendly, flexible in handling and are able to work well together. You are naturally well organized and punctual and like to get things done right.

You also have:

  • A technical education at university or HBO level in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Experience in a similar position, preferably in the life science industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial skills and experience in negotiating contracts.
  • Knowledge of imaging and spectroscopy technologies, especially Fluorescence Lifetime Microscopy, is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel abroad regularly.
